Registered Jersey, A1/A2
Fescue is almost 3 years old. She calved easily on her own at the end of May. She learned the milking routine quickly and behaves well for both hand and machine milking. She has nice, long teats and a well-balanced udder. For the first month of her lactation, she was milked once per day while calf sharing. Since then, we have designated her as a nurse cow. She enjoys the calves and does a great job raising them. She has never shown aggression toward them and quickly learned to stand still while they nurse. Fescue would make a great family cow or nurse cow. She is also a good producer. While calf sharing during early lactation, we were getting almost 4 gallons per day from her…
Registered Jersey, A2/A2
Tic Tac is a sweet 3-year-old. She is due with her second calf at the end of September and recently went dry. She was a little nervous and kicky at the beginning of her first lactation, but by the end she was very comfortable with machine milking and mostly comfortable with hand milking. She freshened with only three working quarters. Her back left quarter is very small, never developed properly, and never came into production. Her other three quarters more than make up for it, though. Even as a first-lactation cow, she produced about average for our herd. Tic Tac is bred to our bull Nathan, an A2A2 registered polled Jersey bull.

Annie is a laid-back 4-year-old who knows her job. She has good teat length and is well-behaved for both hand and machine milking. She has been a good producer for us and recently went dry for a calf due at the end of September. She was bred to our A2A2 registered polled Jersey bull, Nathan. Annie is not a pet cow, but she is quite calm, well-behaved, and doesn’t mind being petted here and there. She has not been halter trained, but now that she is dry, it would be easy to get her accustomed to a new setup and comfortable coming in for a treat before she freshens and needs to be milked again.
